they were thinking about not letting him come back because of how jacob grows up so fast, they weren't sure they would be able to pull it off. but they took him to the director and he re-tried out for the role of jacob and got it. so, i'm sure if he's in new moon, he'll be in the rest of them because they know that he'll be able to handle the part. also, i've read some interviews that the director has had and he said that they are very pleased with how he is acting.i'm pretty excited, myself. he's a great actor and fits jacob really well.
