Is Taylor Lautner going to play Jacob Black in New Moon?

Is Taylor Lautner going to play Jacob Black in New Moon?
I heard that they said he was too short to play him and I've heard of other actors that may take his place.
I quite like taylor lautner as jacob so it would be a shame if it were true.
Also any other info on new moon would be appreciated

    yes! the director made it clear that he could play in new moon if he can get more muscle since he gets all strong in the book and becomes a werewolf

    He will be definitely wooooooo! :D& Dakato Fanning (sp) will play Jane :)Vanessa Hudgens was rumoured to play Leah... but not sure if she made it.

    unfortunately yes. he has the biggest nose I've ever seen, on film he does anyway he doesn't seem to in photos. I don't know how they can make him compare to edward tbh. but that's my opinion, I know for loads of fans he's "hot". I just don't see it, I think he looks stupid with his wig.

    Yes he will be in the second one. they have already sttarted filming in vancouver so there is no need to worry. I actually like him too. i think it wiuld be wrong to replace taylor. he is good at acting and he has gained 30 pounds from twilight.hope i helped :D Source(s): me :D

    Yes, yes, yes!! I looooooooove Taylor and when I heard that he might not play him I started FREAKING out!!! But, yeah! Taylor's playing Jacob, all right! Right now, the twilight cast is up in Vancouver FILMING!! Yay!! And in a few months they'll be going to Volterra, Italy!! how cool is that?!Nov. 20th!! Counting down the days!!Hope I helped!!
