He said in an interview that he almost doubled his calorie intake and started working out. Everyone is different though so just because it worked for him does not mean it will work for everyone.
He literally had to eat every 1-2 hours every day. All proteins like meats, almonds etc. He also did a lot of cardio work. He worked out in the gym during all his free time. Though, don't run because he said he wasn't allowed to because it made him too skinny. Good luck! :)
Well, he started out with good genes and was already in great shape, being a former world champion twice in martial arts. So he already had great tone, and then worked out vigorously to bulk up his already strong muscles into a great looking body. So he didn't start from scratch, more like he just added to what he already had-- and it helped that he was developing into the final stages of an male.
He knew he had to get ripped in time to film New Moon, so he worked very hard.I don't know his exercises or training methods or whatever, but you should work hard. Visualize a goal, and set a time frame, like "I want to get ripped before May 2010" so that you work hard to achieve your goal before your time is up.Good luck and don't drop anything on your foot :)
